We are not just about software but also operations. If you don't succeed, we don't succeed.
Since 1996, our company, Integrated Management Systems, has managed the labor of large, complex distribution operations. We were the first company in the Pacific Northwest to offer pricing for labor outsourcing services based on production instead of hours worked. This required us to develop methods to drive productivity levels higher in order make a profit. We created weekly, group based incentives based on single variable production metrics.
This worked well initially, but in 2006, we began running a very large distribution operation for one of the world's largest retailers. Due to the scale and complexity of the operation, single variable production metrics and group based incentives had only marginal success and we were forced to change our methodology. We created a system where individual metrics were tracked per work process and incorporated multiple variables in the process mapping to create fair and consistent labor standards across all work processes.
The change in methodology created a dramatic increase productivity. Over a 6 month period output per labor hour increased by over 100%. Since then, the operation has consistently been the number one distribution facility in the retailer's supply chain.
Because of this success, our outsourcing clients requested to use our technology. We made the decision to commercialize the product into a Software as a Service model and Labor Performance was born.
We are not just a technology company. We understand operations.
